It’s been 16 years since I first ventured into e-commerce and 10 years since I started my first blog, and what a learning curve it’s been! And, as with all things in life, the learning never stops.
I’ve always got a book on the go and, when it comes to non-fiction books, I always gravitate towards the business section. Over the years, I’ve learnt so much from reading anything I could get my hands on about blogging and internet marketing, and have put the advice into action to create a handful of successful websites and blogs, the most recent of which is this little fledgeling blog.
If we’re serious about blogging, we need to be continuously learning. We need to improve ourselves, our time management, and the way we plan our days. And, of course, we need to learn the skills we need to grow a successful blog and business.
It can be easy to lose motivation as a blogger, especially when you’re just starting out. There’s a whole lot of work to be done before the blog traffic and the money start rolling in, and that can be disheartening. Most people quit. But reading can be a great way to give you a surge of inspiration and positivity, as well as a healthy dose of wisdom and actionable tips.
